3d/4d sonogram

I am so excited because we got to get a 3d/4d sonogram. Our doctor in Oxford doesn't have one. I called the other day and asked about it and they said they were getting one, but they weren't sure when it would be in. PLUS they wanted $250 and I found a place in Tupelo called babyskickin (http://www.babyskickin.com/) and they seemed really nice. It was going to cost $179 for a DVD set to music of the entire sonogram, a CD with about 30 pictures on it, 2 black and white pictures, 2 colored pictures, and a subscription to some website where you could keep a blog or something. I thought that was a pretty good deal so I booked them for this past Thursday (Feb. 11th). They told me to drink a lot of water and lay off the caffeine, so I did just that. I almost drank a little coke on the way there but I decided not to. I really should have though because this little boy was being stubborn. We went in and Michelle (the lady who works there) was the one who did our sonogram. She was precious! When she started the sonogram we noticed right away that his hands, feet, and cord were right in his face. We could only see one side of his face but we could see his precious little nose and lips. They were so defined. We initially thought he looks like Jason. I think he has Jason's nose. He smiled a couple of times and tried to suck his thumb once and we even got to see him open his eye once! Michelle tried and tried and tried to get him to move around by patting my stomach. She even had me turn over on my left side to see if we could get a better picture. Of course she was having to shoot the video between his legs just so we could get a view of his face because he is frank breech in my tummy. So after about 30 or more minutes she decided she wanted me to drink a little coke and she gave me 2 Hershey's kisses to eat. She told me to walk around and move around a little and see if we could get him to move. Jason and I tried to have a pep talk with Baby J while she was out of the room. When she came back, I turned over on my left side again so we could try one more time. The cord had moved out of his face a little and he had moved his hand somewhere, but his foot was still up near his face. We caught a little shot without his hand in his face but I think by this time he was tired of us tapping on my stomach because his forehead is wrinkled up and his mouth has a smirk. Its a really cute picture though. We gave up after a few more minutes of trying. Michelle was so upset because we didn't get a great picture. She is going to do another sonogram on her own time this Friday. She is so sweet! If you know of anyone who needs a 3d/4d sonogram tell them to go to babyskickin in Tupelo because it is worth your time. She really took her time and tried to get a good picture and seemed genuinely concerned about how we felt about the sonogram. I would go back in a heartbeat if we have another baby and want a 3d/4d! Here are the only 2 pictures we have for now. Hopefully we will get 2 good ones on Friday. I'll keep you updated!

I think by now he has just had enough :) I bet he is thinking, "Leave me alone!" We had been working him for about an hour by the time we got this picture!

32 weeks and 2 days

Well two more weeks have passed. They are flying by now...I guess that is what happens. Let me get you updated. A lot of stuff going on these last couple of weeks. First of all, we started prenatal classes last Thursday. We talked about the usual stuff I gues and she told us we would be watching a live birth this Thursday (today). It went relatively quick I guess. I was proud of Jason because he came with me and didn't complain at all. He has been really good to me lately...not that he isn't good to me all the time...but has been extra sweet. He is so caring and concerned and wants to make sure that I have everything I need and that I am comfy...etc.. So anyway, we went to that on Thursday, Feb. 4th.

Then on the 7th of Feb. I had my shower in Winfield. I went down on Saturday and spent the night with Mom and Dad and the boys were home, too. I went to church Sunday and the shower started about 1:30 and lasted until 3:00. I got so many gifts, which I am so thankful for because we have hardly anything clothing wise that Baby J can wear when he is first born. I got a couple new born outfits, lots of other outfits for all different ages, several bibs, several burp cloths, some picture frames, a little money, and a gift card. I am so thankful that so many people thought of me. I was kind of disappointed at the same time because I was looking forward to seeing so many of my friends from there and only about 10 people even came to the shower. Everyone sent gifts, which of course there is nothing wrong with that, but I just haven't seen everyone in a couple of years and was looking forward to visiting and catchin up with people. There were lots of people that were sick that day and it was Super Bowl Sunday so I guess that probably had a lot to do with it. I did get to see some of my closest friends though, so I won't complain too much :) I am really not complaining. I guess I just really miss everyone. I enjoy the company of the people I invited. That's all I am trying to say I guess....I will post some pictures soon of all of that.

Then on Monday, Feb. 8 we had another sonogram. I was 31 weeks and 6 days in the sonogram. We found out that he is breech unfortunately, but the doc says don't worry about it until I am 37 weeks and he still hasn't turned. I don't think he would have even said anything about him being breech if I hadn't mentioned it. It really bothered me. I had to fight tears during the sonogram. I know that everything will be fine. God and I had a talk and I left it up to him to take care of because I know worrying isn't going to do anything. It doesn't bother me as much now. If I have a section I will be fine and at least we will know exactly what day he will be here. Anyway, during the sonogram he was smacking his lips and I think he opened an eye for a second. He was soooo cute! I can't wait to see him in person! We could't get any really good pictures of him, but she did take a few. AND not only is he breech he is being a little gymnist in there. He is in the weirdest position. His head is right above my belly button and he is facing my right side. His little legs are folded up, like a professional diver, right in front of his face and he loves to keep his hands over his face. I mean he is in the pike position basically if you can imagine. I don't know why he is so comfy like that. Oh and he weighs 3 lbs. 13 oz as of Feb. 8th, 2010.
